our history1950 -
Roundup was founded by a four great men (Ray Cates, Cliff Travillian, John Goffrier, and Rev. Bill Losie) with the vision to retreat once a year together in community to grow in their relationship with the Lord. Seventy-one men attended the very first Roundup held at Trout Creek Bible Camp with Duncan Roberts as the guest speaker. Praise God for those men, paving the way for all of us to enjoy the fruit of this amazing ministry to over 75,000 men!1953 -
Roundup moved to Silver Creek Falls with John Hardy as President. John recruited Dr. Clarence Roddy as the guest speaker with 160 men in attendance, focusing on "Getting into High Gear."1963 -
With the consistent growth, Dick Perrin moved Roundup once again with his team to Canby Grove where 1,000 men came to celebrate Jesus through worship, teaching and fellowship. Dr. Russell Jones spoke on "Where Art Thou."1972 -
After nine years at Canby Grove, Roundup needed to move one more time — to Camp Tadmor — our current home. The service project that year was to see the completion of the Tadmor Lake. What would Tadmor be like without the lake? As President, Ron Hill asked Bill Glass to speak to the 1122 men in attendance. Praise God for Tadmor opening their doors to become the longtime home to the largest men's ministry west of the Mississippi — oh, and the oldest men's retreat ministry in the region as well. We are so grateful to partner with Tadmor and CB Northwest. Praise God!1982 -
Tiny Johnson was the president, he was led to share a theme of "Impact your World" with the 2471 men and who better to do that then Franklin Graham. Franklin shared the teaching with Ray Schmautz.1983 -
With Robin Goffrier as president, another special year began to unfold. Dr. John McArthur and Tony Campolo shared the teaching times to an "overflowing" attendance of 2650 men being challenged to grow in the Lord. Where did they fit all those men?2015 -
See you there men as you take part of a wonderful and rich history!
