2023 Men's Roundup

September 8-10 at Camp Tadmor, OR
Featuring Vince Miller (Speaker) & Mack Brock (Musician)

As a result of this weekend, we envision that God will impact men in a variety of ways by moving them to: come to faith in Christ, connect with each other and their local church, live in obedience to Christ, and foster leadership in their marriages, families, churches, and communities.

MEN'S ROUNDUP | cHRISTIAN cONFERENCE | cAMPING rETREAT

The Mens Roundup christian conference is a men’s camping retreat held in a forested mountaintop setting at Camp Tadmor in Lebanon, Oregon where men are encouraged to believe, obey, connect, and lead. Roundup features an inspiring primary speaker, well-known guest artists and musicians, biblical teachers leading action workshop breakout sessions, great food, and opportunities for guys to worship, learn, grow, and connect with other guys. Roundup is also a wonderful opportunity to appreciate God’s beautiful creation, hang out with friends, and break a sweat in the Roundup Race or other sports competitions and outdoor recreation activities.

VINCE MILLER

2023 Speaker

Audiences respond to Vince’s stories and teaching that motivate, convict, and sometimes even shock. He inspires men to lead, mentor, and disciple others with an intelligent argument for faith, inspiring presentation of the gospel, and stories of choices he made as a man, husband, and father.

After serving in notable ministry organizations for over 28 years (including Young Life, InterVarsity, TCU Football, and Eagle Brook Church), Vince founded Resolute, a non-profit organization focused on providing men with tools for discipleship and mentorship. He’s written 16 books and handbooks, along with small group videos that are resources for mentorship. He also produces THE MEN’S DAILY DEVO and the 20-Minute Bible Study. His latest book is a devotional and mentoring guide for men called THIRTY VIRTUES THAT BUILD A MAN.

Mack Brock

Mack Brock’s greatest passion is to lead people into a heightened awareness of the presence of God and to see individuals experience the breakthrough God has for them through worship.

He has been a worship leader for over 15 years and co-wrote “O Come To The Altar,” “Resurrecting,” “Here As In Heaven,” and “Do It Again” – each have had a significant impact on the church worldwide. Three of Mack’s songs have landed in the Top 50 on CCLI, and four in the Top 100 CCLI songs.

Mack served as the music producer and a key worship leader for a decade, and has led thousands in worship in arenas and auditoriums all across the United States. Mack is married with 2 children and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Each year we provide not only an awesome primary speaker but engaging and informative breakout speakers you can go to during your free time throughout the event. This year we’ll be bringing back the same format we did in 2022 with four speakers only. This allows you and your group to visit all four if you wish during the course of the event. We haven’t nailed down the specific speakers but you can expect them to focus primarily around the  Men’s Roundup values (seen below).

2023 OFFERING PROJECT

One of the greatest gifts we can give is the opportunity to equip and empower others to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. This year’s project is to help fund a Spanish-speaking church plant in Nyssa, Oregon. This summer, Pastor Omar Pineda and his family will relocate to Eastern Oregon to begin a new work to reach the growing Hispanic population.

  • Please pray for the Pineda family (Omar, Laura, Yochanan (9) and Hayah (6).
  • Pray for the adaptation and change of school this represents in the lives of their girls and change of scenery for the whole family.
  • Pray for vision for the work that will be implemented in Nyssa, that the community will be open to the gospel and transformed by it.
  • Pray for strategies and opportunities to preach the gospel, and that the community will be intrigued to hear it. Pray for new converts and that God adds the ministry to those who must be saved.
  • Pray for unity of all the churches and ministries involved in the planting of this church in Nyssa.

As you pray for this new church plant, ask God to prepare your heart to give sacrificially at this year’s Roundup offering.

2023 Workshop details

Male friendships make you better

James Gleason, Executive Director of Church Venture NW along with Doug Weaver Men’s Roundup Board President

Why is it so challenging for men to make and keep life-long friendships? Since men crave intimacy with their friends, why is making and retaining deep, meaningiul friendships difficult? What can be done about this friendship recession? Join us and discover a model for manhood that involves living life together!

IMMIGRATION AND THE CHURCH: A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE FOR THE 21ST-CENTURY FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST

Pastor Israel Muños, Ministerio Jesús es el Camino

In this workshop, we will look at biblical characters God used to be a light to the nations by becoming strangers in foreign lands and its implications for us today. (We will have this workshop in English for three sessions and one in Spanish on Saturday morning.)

WHAT IF I RUN INTO A DEMON?

Gerry Breshears, Ph.D. Professor of Theology at Western Seminary

The demonic realm fascinates many people – and they are getting involved with demons. Knowing the types and limits of satanic stratagems against Christians and the church is essential in our increasingly pagan society. We will explore practical methodologies to help people find freedom from spiritual bondage.

DO YOU TRUST GOD AS A HEAVENLY FATHER?

Pastor Daniel Aguilar, East River Fellowship

In this workshop, we will bridge the gap of mistrust between you and the LORD. We will take time to reflect on our relationship with our earthly father and also look at the influence that other men in authority had in our lives. Once the root of our mistrust toward God as Father is revealed, then we pray for miracles and wisdom to provide that healing. He wants you living from a place of sonship. And that can only happen when you receive Him as your Father. This can be difficult, but it is so worth it!
